In recent months web sites
have appeared selling gift certificates for skydiving,
supposedly representing a skydiving center in your area.
They make wild claims that they have hundreds of skydiving
schools across the country and you are dealing with the main
reservation center. The truth is that there has never been a
nationally owned chain of skydiving schools. These sites are
operated by an internet telemarketing company that adds
price markups and confusion to a straight-forward process.
An alert consumer will
notice these "businesses" have multiple web sites that look
very similar, have very general information and steer you to
a national call center. They won't tell you their location,
but will say; "Yes, we have a skydiving center near you." If
you press them, they will give you vague distances from your
city, but will not name the drop zone or airport where they
operate.
Conversely, all visits to
1-800-SKYDIVE.COM or
WWW.DROPZONE.COM direct you to authentic skydiving
centers conveniently located near major metropolitan areas.
You always deal directly with that skydiving center and
never with a middle-man.
Please don't fall for
on-line marketing ploys. Skydive New Mexico does not honor
gift certificates from these services. People who buy these
on-line certificates usually have to drive long distances,
because so few skydiving centers accept them. When a
customer finds out the certificate is not honored at a local
skydiving center, and tries to get a refund...most often no
refunds, compromises, renewals, or transfers are available.
Only Skydive New Mexico
gift certificates are sold and accepted by Skydive New
Mexico.

182 aircraft, and on occasion arranges for the use of
larger turbine aircraft.

your credit card number there are additional fees which
